This Service Contract extends the warranty for the period stated on the Service Contract Certificate (the “Term”) commencing on the date of expiration of the manufacturer’s initial warranty period as stated on the manufacturer’s initial warranty.
Please read the below notes carefully and take them into consideration as they are of utmost importance when you purchase any device covered by the Extended Warranty:
- The extended warranty provides coverage for repairing the technical failure of the device upon the expiration of the original agency warranty.
- The customer must present the extended warranty card or any kind of proof thereof, in order to be eligible for the service.
- Claims for technical faults on the device will be processed when a claim is submitted with the device certificate/invoice issued by the device seller, which shows the date of purchase.
- All technical faults will be dealt with by our authorized service center or other service centers we cooperate with.
- The authorized service centers are entitled to carry out the necessary repairs and/or to replace the faulty parts according to what is covered by the extended warranty.
What is Covered
Customers can get the product repaired from Authorized Service Centers, free of cost to its normal operating condition after it has suffered a covered failure (due to a defect in material or workmanship) during normal use.
- The extended warranty covers the costs of on sight inspection of the faulty device by the technicians of the approved service centers, taking the device to the workshop for repairing purposes when necessary and bringing it back to the customer’s premises after repair.
- During the warranty period, the Warranty covers the charges of repair and replacements of any part with a genuine part – OR – in case genuine parts are not available, with another part of an equivalent quality to the original part and the customer have no right to claim the replaced parts.
- In the case of high cost of repairing, repeated failure of the product or reflecting its poor performance due to any manufacturing issues, the customer will be replaced with similar product with a difference amount as or a credit voucher based on the depreciation terms & conditions.
- The depreciation cost starts from date of purchase 40% in the first year, then 10% every year.
- Home service will be provided for all types of major appliances except for (small) devices that must be brought to the service centers of Salam Gas.
- The device must have been included at the time of purchase from the manufacturer in full and the original warranty valid in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Compensation shall be given after deducting the depreciation value calculated as mentioned above, or not exceeding 100 Bahraini Dinars, whichever is less.
- The Extended Warranty must be valid for the customer to be eligible for the above services.
What is NOT Covered?
The extended warranty is considered VOID in the event of technical malfunctions resulting from any of the following cases:
- Misuse, instability of the government mains voltage, irregular voltage fluctuations, and operation of the device in a manner contrary to the instructions mentioned in the device’s operating manual.
- Consumable parts and accessories, for example but not limited to (batteries – lamps, glass parts, plastic parts of the microwave oven, external surfaces, doors and accessories such as glass or plastic shelves and drawers, as well as any missing parts).
- Wrong installation, breakage, fire or natural disasters, external factors and gases emitted in areas close to factories or coasts exposed to humidity (such as but not limited to Tubli area), and any attempt by the customer to do the repair process himself or through an unauthorized service center.
- Accessories used in or with the product, unless covered under a separate extended warranty service contract.
- Damages occur because of animals or insects
- Periodic maintenance & service is not covered by the extended warranty. Customers may request Al Salam periodic maintenance for any device which will be governed by another contract and other procedures.
- The extended warranty does not cover the repair or replacement of air conditioners (compressors) – as it is covered by the warranty of the original agent.
This Warrantee Certificate is Voided on below circumstances:
- Damages resulting from shipping or the passage of goods from one country to another (transit).
- Damages resulting from intentional or unintentional breakage of the warranted device.
- Devices that have been repaired in an unauthorized service center.
- Malfunctions resulting from misuse, abnormal use, willful neglect, improper adjustment and installation, and the use of inappropriate electrical transformers.
- Devices whose serial numbers have been changed or manipulated or have been completely or partially removed.
- Malfunctions resulting from war fires, revolutions, earthquakes, floods, lightning, and any natural disasters.
Extended Warrantee Liabilities Terms
Al Salam Gas Electronics Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any person or property or direct, consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or inability to use the product to the extent that liability for that may be denied by law.
Any defects that are subjected to a manufacturer’s recall or covered by the manufacturer’s warrantee program or reimbursement are not covered by this contract.
Under this contract, the liability of Al Salam Gas Electronics Company compensation cannot in any way exceed 100 Bahraini Dinars.
Al Salam Gas Electronics Company may cancel this contract by giving a notice of fourteen (14) days in writing to the customer and shall be sent to the latest known address, and Salam Electronics will refund the purchaser in respect of the remaining full months of warranty covers pro rata to the original cover price .
In case product is replaced, the defected product becomes the property of Al Salam Gas Electronics Company, and the customer’s legal rights are not affected.
Al Salam Gas Electronics Company has the right to transfer or sell this agreement and its obligations to any another company or other service centers that carry out same duties and obligations. In the event of transferring the agreement to any other organization, the customer agrees to communicate with them in any event of technical malfunctions.
